Williamsport talents Keller Griswold and Evan Summers had an incredible day of swimming, with both qualifying for districts in two events, joining a select group of Millionaires who attained district-qualifying standards in a quad meet.

Kendall Cohick and Brady Ross also reached district qualifying standards as individuals in Thursday’s contest against Whitehall, Liberty, and Allentown Central Catholic, with both teams decisively winning.

On the boys side, Williamsport triumphed over Whitehall, 34-20; Liberty 32-27; and Allentown Central Catholic, 31-23. The girls defeated Whitehall, 45-17; Liberty, 33-29; and Allentown Central Catholic, 48-11.

Griswold claimed victory in the boys race with a time of 1:49.27, finishing just a second ahead of Liberty’s David Gabrielle (1:50.53). Later, in the 100 fly event, Griswold secured second place with a time of 53.94, approximately half a second behind Liberty’s David Gabrielle, while qualifying for districts in the process.

Summers achieved a district-qualifying time in the boys 200 IM at 2:08.88. In the 100 breaststroke, he again reached a qualifying mark with a time of 1:00.20. Williamsport’s Evan Weaver placed third in that event with a time of 1:15.27.

In the boys 50 free, Brady Ross recorded a time of 22.98 to earn a district-qualifying mark, winning the race by just 0.05 seconds over Liberty’s Adam Barlow, who also qualified for districts.

Kendall Brouse achieved a third-place finish in the girls 200 IM, swimming a time of 2:41.26. Aviya Halstead from Williamsport finished second in the 10 free with a time of 1:02.85.

In the girls 500 free competition, Williamsport had two top-3 finishers. Kiley Persun clocked in at 5:55.50 for a second-place finish, while Dylana Richards secured third with a time of 6:02.80. Whitehall’s Kendall Bashore took first place with a time of 5:50.85.

In the girls 200 free relay, the team of Kendall Cohick, Naomi Lee, Kiley Persun, and Aviya Halstead from Williamsport finished first with a time of 1:49.12.

Williamsport’s Cooper Allmaras, Evan Summers, Keller Griswold, and Brady Ross swam a time of 1:41.43 to win the boys 200 medley relay, triumphing by two seconds. Individually, Allmaras also earned third in the 100 free with a time of 53.25. Furthermore, Allmaras celebrated an individual win in the boys 100 back with a time of 1:00.81.

Cohick won the girls 100 back with a time of 1:04.08, defeating Liberty’s Lilah McClarin by five seconds.
