Through the perspectives of photographers from NPR’s member and affiliate stations, we’ve observed a variety of events, including protests progress on college campuses, a total solar eclipse brighten the skies across the United States, one of the most significant Election Days in our nation’s past, among numerous other moments.

Annually, we celebrate the powerful images that our stations have captured from our constantly changing world. Below is a collection of instances that these devoted photojournalists have documented over the last year.
