This year was a feast of innovation where software, primarily driven by Artificial Intelligence, overshadowed the traditionally dominant hardware, resulting in numerous intriguing, high-performance devices across various categories. Our teams at Times Now Tech and Digit evaluated nearly all gadgets within different price ranges, including smartphones, laptops, televisions, home appliances, and more. The finest devices in each category will soon be honored with the Digit Zero1 Awards.

However, prior to that, we decided to have some fun. Therefore, our teams selected their favorite gadgets of the year. These selections are not necessarily the best devices within their respective price categories but rather the ones that provided us with immense enjoyment during usage.

Reflecting on 2024, one device that truly captivated my attention was the Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses. Among all the gadgets I assessed this year, these smart glasses genuinely thrilled me. They felt like a leap into the future of wearable technology.

The Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses are fashionable, lightweight, and loaded with numerous exciting features. With these glasses, you can capture photos and videos hands-free, stream live on Instagram and Facebook, and even make phone calls. The 12MP front camera was excellent for high-quality POV shots. The best part is that transferring photos and videos to the Meta View app on your smartphone is a breeze.

Yashraj Verma: Google Pixel Buds Pro 2

More compact, comfortable, and a BLOCKBUSTER — Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 would be my choice for the Best Gadget I’ve utilized in 2024. Google certainly did not hold back this time! I appreciate how perfectly they fit – and this is from someone who frequently struggles with TWS fitting issues. The battery life and design are commendable, but the standout feature is the sound quality.

Crisp, clear, and well-balanced – truly music to my ears. It boasts an expansive soundstage, rich bass quality, and the ability to discern every note and instrument, elevating them to a pedestal in my opinion. Additionally, the noise cancellation technology is exceptional.

Google has incorporated some AI wizardry with adaptive sound and intelligent noise cancellation. It feels like having a personal sound engineer customizing the audio just for you, no matter where you find yourself.

In summary, for me — Google has truly knocked it out of the park with the Google Pixel Buds 2 Pro!

Naba Ali: iPad mini (2024)

Among all the gadgets I examined this year, the iPad Mini (2024) emerged as my top favorite. The size of this device is absolutely ideal. It is compact, portable, and doesn’t demand extra table space. I am constantly on the move, and that’s when this iPad Mini works its wonders. Need to jot down notes? Handled. Want to stream something? That too is managed.

Moreover, it is equipped with powerful capabilities. I have accomplished everything from video editing to demanding gaming on this device, and I find it incredible. It functions excellently when I prefer not to use my laptop and need an alternative device. Plus, it’s one of the most affordable Apple products of the year, which is another advantage.

Vanshika Tyagi: Motorola Razr 50 Ultra

While I was inclined to choose the Vivo X200, I ultimately decided on the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. It’s a playful flip phone, almost like having two devices in one. You can view reels and continue playing games on the inner screen.

It’s undoubtedly entertaining! Furthermore, it’s easy to carry around as well — compact and fits comfortably in a pocket. There are numerous customizations available on the device that enhance its functionality.

Shubham Arora: Motorola Razr 50

Out of all the gadgets I’ve explored in 2024, the Motorola Razr 50 is my top choice. It finds the perfect balance between vintage charm and contemporary aesthetics. The spacious cover screen makes this device highly practical. Additionally, the satin-aluminum frame and vegan suede finish exude a premium feel! I truly appreciated the thoughtful design features – the robust hinge mechanism, dual display setup, and dependable battery lasting approximately a day.

The Razr 50 may not be a powerhouse for gaming or photography, but it presents a unique style, versatility, and affordability at Rs 64,999, demonstrating that foldable devices can be both stylish and functional for everyday usage.

Sparsh Sharma: Sony’s Astro Bot PlayStation 5 Controller

The limited edition Astro Bot PlayStation 5 controller from Sony stands as one of the finest gadgets I’ve utilized in 2024. It commemorates the launch of the new game and looks stunning. The design accentuates all the details skillfully, featuring Astro Bot’s eyes on the touchpad, which gives the impression that you’re holding a robot. The blue highlights add an appealing touch, and the tiny textures on the front, along with the Astro Bot logo on the

back, making it feel exceptionally unique.

Whether you’re a casual player or a dedicated PlayStation enthusiast, this controller enhances the gaming experience both aesthetically and practically. To me, this exclusive Astro Bot PS5 controller transcends being merely a gaming device — it’s a masterpiece and ranks among my top gadgets of 2024.

Ashish Singh: ASUS Zenbook Duo 2024

2024 has been a significant year for technology, especially with AI at the forefront. However, the ASUS Zenbook Duo 2024 truly shines. It’s ideal for enhancing productivity, boasting dual 14-inch OLED touch displays and a detachable keyboard that functions as a Bluetooth keyboard. This feature adds remarkable adaptability. You can utilize it in various configurations like dual screen, sharing, desktop, or laptop mode.

What impressed me the most is the seamless optimization of the entire device. ASUS has excelled in developing modes and gestures that make this laptop practical for daily activities. Even with two screens, I encountered no challenges with performance, fluidity, or battery longevity. It’s remarkable to witness a dual-screen laptop that is this efficient while still conforming to a conventional laptop form.

Ayushi Jain: Infinix GT 20 Pro

While 2024 has been the era of flagship smartphones, discovering a gaming phone that doesn’t cost a fortune was quite challenging. That’s why the Infinix GT 20 Pro caught my attention this year.

At a price below Rs 25,000, it offers impressive gaming performance relative to its cost. It may not be the most extravagant device on the market, but it accomplishes its purpose without emptying your wallet. Though primarily a gaming gadget for me, its design is visually pleasing as well. Therefore, for those seeking an affordable gaming phone, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is a solid choice.

Mustafa Khan: Redmi Pad Pro 5G

This year introduced some remarkable tablets, yet the Redmi Pad Pro 5G emerges as the most cost-effective option. Priced under Rs 30,000, it features a stunning IPS LCD display that can easily compete with an AMOLED panel in quality. What distinguishes it are its accessories, which increase its functionality and come bundled within the same price range.

While it may not be the most powerful tablet available, it offers sufficient capability for a budget device. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G is a multifunctional gadget, ideal for all the tasks that your smartphone may struggle with.

Narender Sharma: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

I thoroughly enjoyed capturing images on the Galaxy S24 Ultra — the photographs are commendable, videos are impressive, and the OIS is spot on. On the whole, the phone is swift, accommodates most of my usage effortlessly, and the UI is exceptional. The animations are precise, accompanied by numerous utility features. For instance, the Circle to search feature is one that I’ve utilized daily — and I adored it.

Apart from that, I appreciate the sharp contours of the phone and the entire content viewing experience due to the large display. The only aspect that could have been improved is the support for fast charging.

Kunal Saroj: MacBook Pro M4

The MacBook Pro M4 is my gadget of choice this year. As a graphic designer, I sincerely enjoyed using this laptop from Apple. Design software operates seamlessly, akin to gliding through a rapid river. One of my top features is Adobe Photoshop’s ‘Select Subject’ tool, which identifies objects in scarcely two seconds, significantly saving me time. Using Adobe Lightroom for color correction is also a delight.

Ashish Kumar: Beats Pill x Kim

This year, my preferred product was the Beats Pill. This pill-shaped Bluetooth speaker offers outstanding bass. I listen to a great deal of Punjabi music and found the experience with the Beats Pill to be truly enjoyable. Don’t judge, but I also indulge in a lot of melancholic tunes and melodies.

Even those sound equally impressive on this speaker. The battery life is robust, and the portability of the speaker is excellent. The highlight, in my opinion, is its color.

Nobil Toppo – Oppo Find X7 Ultra

One of the most impressive gadgets I interacted with in 2024 was the Oppo Find X7 Ultra — it ranks among the finest camera-centric phones I’ve ever used, irrespective of the year. The camera made me feel like I was wielding a DSLR on a daily basis, and although the phone hasn’t been launched in India, using it was tremendously enjoyable.

The standout feature was the colors. They appeared remarkably vibrant. I also relished capturing RAW videos in 4K and 8K. All my friends were awe-struck by the photographic prowess of this device. And that is my top gadget of 2024!

Manas Tiwari: Vivo X Fold 3 Pro

This year was peculiar in the tech world. There weren’t numerous hardware advancements as AI became the primary focus for an increasing number of tech companies. Yet, one device I truly enjoyed utilizing this year was the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro — largely due to its exceptional cameras.

I took the phone with me to various locations like Austin, Taipei, and Paris — the photographs were genuinely remarkable. The Zeiss tuning, combined with different LUTs and a robust camera app loaded with features, offers a comprehensive camera experience right in your pocket. I eagerly anticipate Vivo’s subsequent offering with another exceptional device.
