It appears you engage in numerous diverse areas. Do you have a most cherished project?

The project I cherish the most at present is Family Mic’d Up, where I equip a family member with a microphone during the match and generate various social clips featuring them. These perform excellently on social media, and it’s always delightful to witness family members relishing the game as supporters while experiencing the emotional highs and lows of watching their son, husband, or sibling. It’s challenging to fully grasp their feelings due to the multitude of added emotions they encounter. It’s incredibly distinctive. This year, I am also developing a series that highlights various roles within the Vikings organization that enhance the fan experience on game day, such as game presentation, equipment management, and guest experience management. It’s been enjoyable because it allows me to learn extensively about the roles my colleagues undertake as well. There’s a plethora of diverse jobs in sports that many overlook, so I’m grateful for the chance to showcase a few of my incredible co-workers while potentially paving the way for those aspiring to pursue a career in sports.

What do you find is the most demanding aspect of your role?

It has to be deciding what tasks to undertake. As I mentioned, lifestyle content encompasses a vast range when you think about it. I find myself being pulled in numerous directions. Although most of the concepts are activities I wish to develop, I am just one individual. I collaborate closely with another teammate, yet it’s still merely two individuals managing this content. It’s a process determining which content we genuinely wish to pursue, along with coordinating our schedules to ensure we don’t experience burnout.

That makes a lot of sense and appears to be a prevalent challenge for content creators. Next, could you describe your week during the season compared to the offseason?

The quantity of content I produce varies based on the time of year. Throughout the regular season, I spend my time editing material. Occasionally, I’ll conduct a shoot with a player—typically after practice on Fridays—and I’m conducting interviews with various staff members during the week. During home games, I focus on our “All in a Gameday” series, shadowing staff members and documenting them. For away games, I primarily capture the game for social content, editing significant moments like touchdowns, sacks, and turnovers to forward to our social team. Although my role isn’t solely that of a social content producer, I fall under that category on game days.

The peak times occur when our players are present in the facility. There are projects I engage in independently of them, but much of the content relies on player involvement. There’s a slight dip immediately after the season concludes, but it swiftly ramps back up with free agency. We create a significant amount of content surrounding free agents signing with the Vikings, and we produce a lot of fan-related material during the NFL draft. Training camp involves a daily grind, and my personal favorite—the regular season—offers a steady challenge but isn’t overwhelming all at once. You come to know what to expect week after week.
