Tripadvisor, the largest global travel advisory platform, has unveiled its Travelers’ Choice Awards highlighting the top destinations to explore in 2025.

“The Travelers’ Choice Top Destinations honor the locales that witnessed the most substantial year-over-year enhancement in the quality and quantity of ratings and reviews for lodgings, eateries, and activities, alongside the highest global page views on Tripadvisor during the 12-month span from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024,” Hilary Fischer-Groban, senior director of global brand, insights, and public relations, informed Fox News Digital.

Indeed, NYC has secured Tripadvisor’s title for U.S. destinations in the Travelers’ Choice Awards’ “Best of the Best Destinations” for three consecutive years, with Oahu in second position and Las Vegas in third, both maintaining their respective ranks.

“A significant transformation occurred in the rankings, with the Florida Keys ascending to fourth place — a rise from Key West’s tenth position in 2024 — thereby relegating New Orleans to fifth,” Fischer-Groban stated.

“Nashville and Charleston maintained their prominent positions on the list, while Miami and Maui dropped out of the Top 10, overtaken by San Francisco and Washington, D.C.”

1. New York City

According to Fischer-Groban, a significant contributor to New York City’s success was the favorable reviews for its iconic landmarks — ranging from The Empire State Building to The Metropolitan Museum of Art — which saw close to a 10% rise in the volume of reviews from 2023 to 2024.

2. Oahu, Hawaii

As for the runner-up Oahu, Fischer-Groban indicates that Tripadvisor has observed the destination growing in popularity amongst business travelers, with a 27% increase in the number of reviews from business travelers between 2023 and 2024.

Completing the top three, “Las Vegas witnessed an upsurge in family travelers, with the most significant performance improvements stemming from both families and couples,” she adds, remarking that reviews from family travelers in Las Vegas increased by 43% from 2023 to 2024.
