This down-to-earth, diligent family based in California is in search of a dependable and caring nanny/family assistant to help them cultivate a joyful and nurturing environment as their family expands!

• Location: San Francisco, California
• Ages of children: 3 years old and a newborn anticipated in August 2025
• Start date: As soon as the perfect match is found!
• Schedule: Full-time, ensuring 50 hours weekly with a typical schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:30pm or similar. Flexibility for occasional evening, overnight, and weekend availability will be requested in advance and is greatly appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-50/hour based on the 50-hour weekly schedule, which translates to an annualized base compensation of $114-143k/year. They may consider a higher compensation package reflective of experience.
• Benefits: The family is amenable to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance allowance, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.

• This friendly, relaxed family is looking for a caring and cooperative nanny/family assistant to support them as they expand! Their 3-year-old son adores his taggies, is fascinated by pinwheels, and enjoys a wide range of music from Mozart and Beethoven to Queen. He attends half-day preschool four days every week. A caregiver with experience handling infants and toddlers who can evolve alongside their family in the upcoming years will be highly valued. The family anticipates building a relationship rooted in mutual trust and teamwork and is eager to meet someone who can foster a nurturing atmosphere abundant with fun and positive interactions to support their children’s growth and development. A candidate comfortable with general household responsibilities will be greatly needed!
• This is a dual-career household where both parents have busy schedules and are passionate about their professions. The family travels to Europe annually (typically Italy and/or Greece) and takes shorter trips to LA and occasionally other cities throughout the year. A candidate who is adaptable and experienced in providing focused care to children while on the move will be an excellent choice!

Ideal candidate:

• This role is perfect for a warm-hearted and reliable nanny/family assistant who truly enjoys interacting with children and creating a positive atmosphere for their growing toddler! Someone who delights in being playful and silly while actively engaging with children through stimulating and enriching activities will excel in this position. Being willing to offer care for the child when unwell, as necessary, will be essential. The family greatly values a collaborative nanny who adopts a see-a-need, fill-a-need approach to supporting the family and the household while fostering a strong foundation of mutual trust and flexibility.
• Responsibilities encompass both childcare and family assistant functions. Childcare duties include creating an environment where the child can blossom and flourish, child-related household tasks such as meal preparation, tidying up, organizing children’s spaces, running occasional errands, managing before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting responsibilities involve running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, and coordinating vendors for home repairs and maintenance.
• While not mandatory, the family welcomes a candidate who is comfortable transitioning into a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) role when the newborn arrives. They are open to providing training support for the suitable candidate.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Understanding and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for toddlers
• Experience traveling with families and children
• Family assisting experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the start date
