Altaf Bukhari Calls for Vital Awareness Campaign on Heating Safety and Risks

Srinagar, January 6 (KNS): Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, President of Apni Party, has called upon officials to initiate an educational campaign aimed at informing the community about the risks linked with the unsafe utilization of heating appliances, including gas and coal heaters, electric blankets, blowers, and similar devices.

Considering the recent spate of tragedies, notably the incident in Srinagar’s Pandarethan where five family members, including three young children, succumbed to suffocation from hazardous gas emitted by a heating appliance, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has pressed the administration to embark on a campaign to educate individuals on the safe and correct usage of these heating devices and gadgets.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

On his X account, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari commented, “Immediate awareness initiatives are necessary to avert tragic events and fatalities resulting from the negligent use of heating devices including gas and coal heaters, electric blankets, blowers, and other apparatus.”

He emphasized, “It is essential to promote awareness regarding how the incorrect usage of these devices can elevate poisonous gas levels and reduce oxygen in enclosed spaces, resulting in suffocation. I encourage the authorities to launch an awareness campaign using all available platforms to inform the public about the hazards of improper use of these devices.”(KNS)
