It’s Spring 1941, and we revisit Darrowby, where young infant Jimmy is keeping everyone at Skeldale House on their toes. Helen is adjusting to motherhood with James stationed at RAF Abingdon, Mrs. Hall and Siegfried are relishing the presence of a little one, and Carmody has now become a fully integrated member of the Skeldale household. With World War II in full swing, Siegfried is assuming the responsibilities at the surgery, Mrs. Hall and Helen are contemplating their role in the community, and Carmody is enthusiastic about stepping forward.
