Customers enjoy seeking information from Alexa—in fact, Alexa responds to numerous requests every millisecond, assisting customers with weather forecasts, trivia, recipes, and general information, among other queries. They also rely on Alexa to help set reminders, alarms, timers, create lists, and more. Echo Spot’s eight uniquely designed clock faces, new visual animations, and playful colors enable easy visibility of responses to many of these inquiries at a glance. Furthermore, you can personalize Echo Spot’s 2.83” touch-screen interface to match the aesthetics of your bedroom. Choose from six different color themes for the display—orange, violet, magenta, lime, teal, and blue—or mix and match colors with various clock faces.

You can gently wake to your selected music or songs by configuring personalized alarms. For example, you can simply say “Alexa, set a weekday alarm for 7 am with devotional songs.” Alternatively, wake to one of four newly-added alarm sounds—Aurora, Daybreak, Endeavor, and Flutter. And if you prefer a little more rest when the alarm rings, you can either ask Alexa or simply tap Echo Spot to snooze. You can also inquire Alexa about the weather and check the temperature, along with an illustration—like a sun or rain cloud—on the screen.

Appreciate vibrant sound

Echo Spot comes equipped with a 1.73” front-firing speaker that delivers rich sound with clear vocals and deep bass. Request Alexa to play your favorite track, podcast, or audiobook from providers like Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and JioSaavn (subscription may be necessary) and witness the titles appear on its colorful visual display. When you wish to skip a song, you can either ask Alexa or quickly tap the display. You can also modify its volume using the controls on the top of Echo Spot or by saying, “Alexa, volume up/down.” 

Manage Alexa-compatible smart home devices

Echo Spot can connect with compatible smart home devices and be used to configure Alexa Routines to assist in automating daily activities with a single voice command. For instance, you might establish a morning routine that gently rouses you with music and gradual lighting from your compatible smart bulbs. Alternatively, establish an evening routine that automatically dims these lights at a designated time, turns on the TV, and plays a chosen movie or TV show. With Ultrasound Motion Detection available in Echo Spot, you can also create smart home routines to illuminate compatible lights or play music upon entering the room.

Additionally, you can ask Alexa to call your loved ones, make household announcements, or audibly Drop In on other Alexa-enabled devices within your home.
