Overview:

Guide and train athletes with the support of the head coach to prepare them for competitions. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Swimming Coach and Athletic Director and is tasked with supporting the swimming program.

Key Duties:

Leadership must be provided by the assistant coach in these areas:

• Assisting in the coordination of varsity programs and summer/off-season activities
• Execution of expectations and guidance for the program
• Preparing the team for competitions
• Teaching both fundamental and advanced techniques
• Attendance at CHSAA and League/Region Coaches’ gatherings
• Interacting with parents, players, school personnel, media, etc.
• Adhering to BVSD, school, and CHSAA regulations and policies

Prerequisites:

Essential:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Complete BVSD online application must be submitted
• Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English

Desirable:

• Prior coaching experience.
• Understanding of all facets of senior high school athletic/activity programming.
• Demonstrated leadership traits and effective experience working with high school students.

Compensation Details:

Salary Placement depends on experience and education.
