MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior guard JJ Quinerly from the West Virginia women’s basketball team has been honored as the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, sponsored by University Apartments.
 
The Norfolk, Virginia native averaged 25 points, four assists, and four steals in two games. Her performance helped the Mountaineers achieve an 80-58 victory over UCF and a 66-53 triumph over BYU.
 
Quinerly recorded a season-high 31 points against UCF, establishing a program record with 17 points in the first quarter of the game. She concluded the week with 19 points versus BYU.
