GREENVILLE, N.C. – Freshman pitcher from East Carolina, Kendall Frost, has been selected for D1Softball’s D100 Freshman Watch List prior to the start of the 2025 season, as announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.

The native of Roswell, Ga. was honored as the 2023 GADC Player of the Year and awarded GACA 6A Pitcher of the Year in both 2022 and 2023. She concluded her high school tenure at Pope High School with two runner-up finishes and one state championship. Earning the title of Region 7AAAAAA Pitcher of the Year, she was ranked 19th in Extra Innings Softball Top 100 and made it to the Extra Innings 18U All-Summer Team.

Frost holds the all-time record for wins, consecutive scoreless innings pitched (37.1), and most saves at Pope. During the Greyhounds’ championship season, she played a pivotal role in leading Pope to a remarkable 35-1 record in 2022, receiving honors as the 6A All-State Pitcher of the Year and the 6A All-Region Pitcher. Achieving the title of Cobb County Pitcher of the Year for two consecutive years, she was recognized as First Team All-State and 6A All-Region First Team Pitcher and Second Team Hitter in her sophomore year, 2021. In 2020, as a freshman, Frost led Pope to the 6A State Championship, earning accolades as the 6A Region Pitcher of the Year and Second Team All-State.

The Pirates, along with Frost, will kick off their 2025 season on Friday, Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. versus Virginia during the Gamecock Invitational.
