COLUMBUS, Ohio — — Jackson Shelstad netted 24 points and converted two free throws with seven seconds remaining as No. 15 Oregon staged a comeback to defeat Ohio State 73-71 on Thursday evening.

Nate Bittle contributed 21 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks for Oregon (14-2, 3-2 Big Ten), which seized a 70-67 advantage following TJ Bamba’s shot in the paint with 40 seconds to go. After Ohio State scored, Shelstad got caught in the corner and turned the ball over, resulting in two free throws by rookie John Mobley Jr., which allowed the Buckeyes to take a 71-70 lead with 12.6 seconds left.
