WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The swimming squads of William & Mary will be back in action for the first time in 2025 as they prepare for the Tribe Quad Meet this Saturday at the Hampton Aquaplex located in Hampton, Va. The competition will showcase 16 events and commence at 10 a.m. with a dual contest featuring the Tribe and Old Dominion. The W&M women’s team will also face off against East Carolina and Central Connecticut State.

TRIBE NEWS AND NOTES

– This marks W&M’s first engagement since the West Virginia Invitational held from Nov. 20-22. The Tribe showcased an impressive performance, highlighted by a record-breaking achievement from Claire Neilly in the 400 IM (4:15.28). – There were 10 winners across various events and nearly 30 all-time top-16 performances.

– The women’s team concluded with the top combined score at the meet, accumulating 1853 points. In the 400 medley relay, Julie Addison, Ellie Scherer, Lindsay Juhlin, and Caroline Bergeson collaborated for the fourth-fastest time recorded (3:39.44).

– For the men’s team, the 200 medley relay squad composed of Logan McDonald, Brock Rempe, Alex Valliere, and Aiden Bond achieved a top-five all-time performance with a time of 1:28.05.

– This competition marks the first of three consecutive weekends where Tribe swimming will be active. Additional meets in this month are scheduled against Davidson (Jan. 18) and Georgetown (Jan. 25).
