Elijah Paige of USC Shines Bright as FWAA Freshman All-American

LOS ANGELES–USC OL Elijah Paige has been selected for the 2024 Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-American Team, announced today (Jan. 14). 

Paige becomes USC’s first offensive lineman to achieve this recognition since 2014, when Toa Lobendahn was honored.

As a Big Ten Honorable Mention awardee, Paige played a vital role in the effectiveness of the USC offense this season. USC concluded the regular season positioned at No. 10 nationally (and No. 1 in the Big Ten) in passing offense (291.9), No. 23 in total offense (437.2), No. 24 in first downs offense (303) and No. 25 in third down conversion rate (.448). 

 

Over 13 games this season, Paige participated in 783 snaps. According to PFF, he was ranked as the No. 7 tackle in the Big Ten with more than 780 snaps played. 

 

Earlier during the season, Paige was recognized on the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award Watch List.
