SEATTLE – Brynn McGaughy, Bryn Martin, and Nina Cain have been designated as McDonald’s All American 2025 West nominees, as announced by the McDonald’s All American Games on Wednesday.

These three prospective Huskies each completed their Big Ten Athletic Scholarship Agreements on November 13, 2024, and are set to join the Washington team in the 2025-26 season.

The trio represents three of the 724 girls and boys basketball players nominated from around the nation.

McGaughy, who was recently included in the Naismith High School Player of the Year Midseason team as one of 25 players, is among the four high school girls from the state of Washington nominated as McDonald’s All Americans.

In total, six players, encompassing both boys and girls, were chosen from Washington.

In her inaugural season with Central Valley, McGaughy has propelled her high school team to an unblemished 11-0 beginning. The future Washington player contributed 20 points in a triumph over Sunnyside in late December and scored 17 in her season-opening success against Eastmont.

Bryn Martin, a four-star recruit ranked No. 68, was among ten female student-athletes from Ohio nominated to the Games.

Martin has played a pivotal role in guiding her Springboro team to a 9-2 record at the beginning of the season, with the senior averaging 21.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per match.

Nina Cain, a Sacramento, California native and senior at McClatchy High School, is the 69th-ranked prospect in the class of 2025.

Cain has steered her McClatchy team to an 11-5 start this season, boasting a 3-0 record in league play. During her junior season, Cain and McClatchy achieved a 26-7 record, remaining flawless at 12-0 in conference competition.

The McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee will shortly refine the list of nominees to the final 48 players designated for the Games’ ultimate rosters. The top 24 girls and 24 boys will be announced at a later time.

The 2025 McDonald’s All American Games, marking the 48th annual event, will occur at Barclays Center in New York on April 1.
