BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colleen McQuillen, a senior guard for Lehigh women’s basketball, has been chosen for WBCA’s 2025 So You Want to be a Coach Program. Each athlete will take part in the two-day seminar on April 3 and 4 during the WBCA Convention in Tampa.
The “So” program enhances the comprehension and application of skills vital for securing coaching roles in women’s basketball, boosts awareness and understanding of the competencies needed for success in coaching, connects female basketball players with coaches and administrators, and highlights the existing talent pool of female basketball players who are passionate about and interested in coaching the women’s game.
Associate head coach Kaitlyn Cresencia and Shawna Mell have also previously participated in the So You Want to be a Coach Program. McQuillen has led the Mountain Hawks both on and off the court, additionally serving as a captain.
The Cresskill, N.J. native has appeared in all 17 matches, making 14 starts this season. She ranks fourth in the conference in assists per game with an average of 3.4.
McQuillen and the Mountain Hawks will make the trip to Baltimore to compete against Loyola on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Reitz Arena. The Saturday match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
