FNB Alert: NuGo Dark Chocolate Treats Recalled Over Hidden Milk Ingredients!

Lifestyle Evolution Inc. is initiating a recall of specific lots of NuGo Dark Chocolate Chip and Dark Chocolate Pretzel nutritional bars due to the potential presence of undeclared milk. Individuals with an allergy or significant sensitivity to milk are at risk of severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.

This is the same recall that was disclosed by vendors of these items, such as Amazon, Costco, Wegmans, and Giant Eagle, on December 2, 2024, and is not an extension or separate recall. NuGo Dark Chocolate Chip and NuGo Dark Pretzel are individually wrapped bars available in 12 or 18ct Multipack boxes. The item numbers for NuGo bars are: 52101 for NuGo Chocolate Chip bars and 52901 for NuGo Dark Pretzel bars. The recalled product lot codes correspond to Best By dates of- Dark Chip: 12/21/2025 to 12/23/2025, and Dark Pretzel from 12/14/2025 to 12/16/2025. The products were distributed through selected retailers and online outlets nationwide.

The recall was triggered after the company received 11 consumer reports of allergic reactions occurring after the consumption of the product. As part of the ongoing investigation, testing revealed that the product contained milk, which was not declared on the packaging. The firm’s inquiry continues. Recalled products may be returned to the purchasing location.
