Beacons Set Sail for Elmira: A UMass Boston Journey

Boston, MA (Jan. 16, 2025) — The UMass Boston Beacons aim to return to their victorious form as they visit (RV) Elmira College for a pair of matches.

Historical Matchup 

The Beacons from UMass Boston and the Soaring Eagles of Elmira College have clashed just six times since Elmira became part of the New England Hockey Conference in the 2021-22 season. Out of these six encounters, the Soaring Eagles have emerged victorious, and the Beacons are on the hunt for their inaugural win in this series this Friday. 

This Season 

• Junior, Emily Hansen, and first-year, Cassidy Morrison, are the top scorers for the team this season, each netting 4 goals. Of Morrison’s four goals, two have come in the last three matches (1/4 at Bowdoin and 1/11 against Salve Regina). 

• In goal, Veronika Hadamovsky and Leah Bosch have been dividing their time. Hadamovsky currently boasts a 2.02 GAA and .934 save percentage, while Bosch is closely matched with a .935 save percentage and a 2.15 GAA.
