BERKELEY, Calif. — The dive teams from the University of Hawai’i, both men’s and women’s, have wrapped up the second day of the Cal Invitational at the Legends Aquatic Center in Berkeley, California.
During the preliminary round of the women’s 1-meter dive, freshman Macie Wheeler was the top performer for UH. She advanced to the final round, finishing in 10th place with a score of 261.05. UH’s Ruby Pickron secured 17th place with a score of 238.45, while Avery Coates placed 19th with a total of 236.85. In the championship round, Wheeler achieved an eighth-place finish with a score of 261.00. The highest-scoring dive for Wheeler in the championship round was a Forward 2-1/3 Somersault Pike, which earned her a score of 46.80.
In the men’s 3-meter qualifying round, Juan Esteban Ramirez Tamayo took seventh place, scoring 349.70, which allowed him to proceed to the championship round.
