WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s swimming and diving squad commenced 2025 with a 159.5-140.5 defeat to Patriot League rival Colgate on Friday afternoon at the Hart Center Pool.
The defeat brings the Crusaders to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in league competition while the Raiders rise to 4-5, 2-3 following the victory.
Junior Ainsley Nalen achieved two first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.75) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:15.04).
Sophomore Kat Anticev secured first place in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:48.34, contributing nine points for the Crusaders. Fellow classmate Devin Brindle also finished first in the 100-yard freestyle (52.94).
During the diving competitions, freshman Brenna Short claimed the top spot in the one-meter dive (260.25) while senior Ciara Scamby recorded the highest score (243.53) in the three-meter dive.
Holy Cross is set to face off against Providence (2-2) in the Hart Center Pool on Saturday, Jan. 18 at noon.
