NORMAN, Okla. — Helen Hu (Chicago, Illinois) of the University of Missouri gymnastics squad achieved the sport’s inaugural perfect 10 of the 2025 season during her balance beam performance at the Tigers’ Southeastern Conference commencement against top-rated Oklahoma on Friday night at Lloyd Noble Center.
No. 10 Mizzou (5-2, 0-1 SEC) ultimately lost to the No. 1 Sooners (7-0, 1-0 SEC) by a score of 197.775-196.750.
Hu’s accomplishment marks the fourth instance of a Mizzou gymnast achieving a score of 10 on beam, the most recent being Sienna Schreiber on March 3, 2024, against Arkansas. Prior to last season, this achievement had not happened by a Tiger since Lauren Schwartzman accomplished it twice during the 2004 season. Notably, five of the seven perfect 10s in Mizzou gymnastics history have occurred since 2023.
