MORRISTOWN — Love’s Travel Center is scheduled to open in Morristown on January 30.

The travel stop is located directly across Ohio 149 from a pre-existing Pilot station that commenced operations in 2013.

This Morristown site will mark the 26th Love’s establishment in the state of Ohio.

“Love’s is thrilled to join the Belmont, Ohio, community with a new store set to open on January 30, 2025,” stated Love’s Media Relations Specialist Lauren Daniels.

Aside from functioning as a travel center, Love’s will also feature a Hardee’s and a Godfather’s Pizza.

In 2021, the sole Hardee’s in the Ohio Valley shut down and was subsequently transformed into a Dunkin’ Donuts, hence its return to the community is likely to bring joy to the fast-food restaurant’s patrons.

“The travel stop is expected to generate 60 jobs in the area, alongside a Godfather’s Pizza, Hardee’s, and Love’s Fresh Kitchen offering freshly made options like sandwiches, wraps, and salads prepared on-site,” Daniels mentioned.

Additionally, she noted that the travel stop will feature a truck care facility, anticipated to open this spring.

The 17,000-square-foot structure was erected by Harris United, with construction commencing in early July.

“Whenever we can provide travelers with more amenities to encourage them to exit the interstate while passing through Belmont County, it’s advantageous!” commented county Tourism Director Jackee Pugh earlier. “Tourists fueling at gas stations supports our local economy. This financial outlay can create a beneficial ripple effect, aiding other community businesses. Hopefully, they will pause to refuel or grab snacks and explore local attractions such as Barkcamp State Park, Tri-State Military Veterans Museum, or Epworth Park, to name just a few.”

As stated on Love’s Travel Centers’ website, it is the top travel stop network nationwide, boasting 644 locations across 42 states. Established in 1964 and based in Oklahoma City, the company is privately held and employs over 40,000 individuals.

“Love’s significantly contributes to the economies of the communities in which we operate and is frequently the largest taxpayer in a region,” Daniels expressed.
