ROSEMONT, IL —  Senior Shyanne Sellers from the No. 8-ranked Maryland women’s basketball squad (16-1, 6-1 B1G) was honored as Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday for her fourth career weekly accolade.
 
Sellers, pursuing a degree in communication, sustained her excellent performance by leading Maryland to a 99-92 victory over No. 24 Minnesota on Tuesday. She posted a season-high 27 points, along with 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Her shooting stats included 9-11 from the field, 3-3 from beyond the arc, and 6-6 from the charity stripe. In the second half, she contributed 15 points while Maryland built a lead.
 
In the past three games, Sellers has averaged 24.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and recorded an impressive shooting percentage of 69% from the field with 23-25 from the free throw line.
 
The Terrapins are set to face three consecutive opponents ranked in the AP Top 12 this week.
