Prepare for an exciting late February and March with the events hosted by the Glen Ellyn Park District, which include Winter Family Fun in the Neighborhood, Sportswap, and Trivia Night. For details or enrollment, visit gepark.org/calendar.

Winter Family Fun in the Neighborhood: 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Spring Avenue Recreation Center, 185 Spring Ave. Enjoy an entertaining evening filled with complimentary, family-friendly activities and entertainment, such as interactive games, arts and crafts, face painting, and more.

Summer Job Fair: 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Main Street Recreation Center, 501 Hill Ave. The Glen Ellyn Park District will conduct a job fair for positions opening for the upcoming summer. Candidates, from high school students (ages 15 and older) to senior adults, can explore various departments in the district, receive information on available summer roles, and interview with managers. Open positions consist of camp counselor, lifeguard, admissions staff, parks maintenance, and more. This free event requires no registration.

Go Green Glen Ellyn, in collaboration with the Glen Ellyn Park District, is organizing a Sportswap on Sunday, March 9.

Sportswap: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road. Gear up for the upcoming season at the Sportswap with Go Green Glen Ellyn. Revitalize your athletic equipment by finding “new-to-you” gear at this community swap. Sports equipment will be accepted from Monday to Saturday, March 3-8. Entry to browse the swap is free.

Trivia Night: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road. Challenge your knowledge and compete for rewards! This trivia night is suitable for all ages and encompasses a diverse range of topics, including sports, films, music, and more. Enjoy visual clues, song snippets, and various media as hints. The event comprises six rounds, with prizes awarded to the champions. Registration is done per team, with a maximum of six participants per team. The fee is $30 for residents and $40 for nonresidents. Register through gepark.org/register.

March Food Drive: March 13-20 at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road. Make an impact this March! Participate in the park district’s food drive in celebration of National Nutrition Month. Contribute nonperishable food items and toiletries at Ackerman SFC during standard business hours to aid the Glen House Food Pantry. Visit gepark.org/drives.

March Blood Drive: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road. Provide the gift of life this March! Participate in the park district’s blood drive in collaboration with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. While appointments are suggested for blood donations, walk-ins are also accepted.
