LV Petroleum, an operator of travel centers and franchisee of TravelCenters of America (TA), has taken over two travel centers in Missouri from Wilmoth Oil Co. LLC, located in Mount Vernon, Missouri.

The Ozarks Travel Center in Mount Vernon is a fully-equipped, TA-branded travel hub offering 225 truck parking spaces, nine diesel lanes, three truck service bays, six showers, three dining options (Wendy’s, Subway, and barbecue), along with 26 multi-pump gasoline dispensers (MPDs).

TA Strafford, situated in Strafford, Missouri, is another fully-service TA-branded travel center featuring 130 truck parking spaces, eight diesel lanes, two service bays for trucks, eight showers, two dining options (Taco Bell and Subway), and four gasoline MPDs.

“This strategic acquisition marks a pivotal milestone for LVP as we strive to deliver outstanding service and innovative solutions to travelers. These travel centers are vital hubs for convenience and connectivity, and we eagerly anticipate their integration into our network,” stated Quyntyn Johnson, president of LV Petroleum.

Based in Las Vegas, LV Petroleum has broadened its reach in the travel center sector through tactical acquisitions and partnerships. In 2024, LVP acquired a portfolio of multi-site travel centers (Railroad Pass Travel Center and Eldorado Pass Travel Center) located just outside of Las Vegas, in addition to various single-site acquisitions across the United States. As of January 2025, LVP operates 30 travel centers, has six large-format, newly established (NTI) travel centers in development, and maintains a growth pipeline comprising single-site acquisitions. Additionally, it owns 71 quick-service restaurants under 22 franchise food brands, including Arby’s, Bojangles, KFC, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Dunkin’ Donuts, Black Bear Diner, Sbarro, Carl’s Jr., Jimmy John’s, Subway, and more.

Besides its travel center operations, LVP manages 35 convenience stores located in Nevada and Arizona, providing services and amenities across 17 states.

“LVP is acquiring two prominent travel centers that will further enhance their expanding presence across the United States,” remarked Jeff Traub, Partner at Downstream Energy Group (DEG), which offered exclusive merger-and-acquisition (M&A) advisory services to LV Petroleum.

TravelCenters of America, based in Westlake, Ohio, is part of the bp portfolio, boasting over 280 sites nationwide.

Jonesboro, Arkansas-based DEG provides M&A services to convenience store, travel center, and wholesale distribution enterprises within the downstream energy sector. They conducted a strategic assessment of the target acquisition, which included offering valuation services, designing, executing, and overseeing the acquisition process.
