NIU Males’s Golf Receives PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award

DeKALB, IL – The Northern Illinois University males’s golf staff acquired the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award on Tuesday from the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
A GCAA-record 292 faculties throughout six totally different division of school golf earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for a staff grade level common of three.0 or above. NIU was certainly one of 75 NCAA Division I applications to earn a Presidents Special Recognition for having a staff GPA of three.5 or larger. The Huskies had a staff GPA for the 2024-25 season of three.73.

We are proud to be recognized with this honor by the GCAA. It speaks to the dedication of every member of our program, including our academic advisor Juan Navarro.”
 
Last week, graduated seniors Ben Sluzas and Felix Krammer together with present junior Craig Long had been named All-America Scholars by the GCAA. Those three student-athletes maintain a cumulative grade level common of three.2 or larger and had a stroke common of 76.0. Those three student-athletes, together with Patrick Bruminhent, had been additionally named to the Mid-American Conference All-Academic Team.
