America East Pronounces 2025 Preseason Poll; Vaandrager, Lefranc Named to Preseason All-Conference Group

BOSTON– The America East Conference launched its 2025 preseason coaches’ ballot. The Catamounts are projected to complete second with 22 factors after coming off a season the place they have been topped America East Conference Champions.  

In addition to the group recognition Sophia Lefranc, and Merle Vaandrager have been named to the preseason All-Conference group.

Voting was carried out by the league’s head coaches, who weren’t allowed to vote for their very own groups or student-athletes. New Hampshire topped the ballot with 23 factors and four-first place votes. UAlbany was picked third with 15 factors, adopted by UMass Lowell (13), Maine (12), and Bryant (5).  

This is the second consecutive preseason All-Conference choice for Lefranc, who’s coming off a 2024 marketing campaign wherein she began all 19 video games, tallying eight targets and 4 assists.  

Vaandrager appeared in 15 video games, beginning 13. She recorded 56 saves and posted a save share of 0.789.
