QAC Celebrates New Gen Expertise: Student Photography Contest Exhibition opens at QAC

The Quinte Arts Council (QAC), in partnership with the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board, is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Student Photography Contest — a vibrant and provoking showcase of the individuals, locations, and pure magnificence that outline the Bay of Quinte area.

Open to college students aged 7 to 18, the competition invited younger photographers to share what makes the area particular by way of their eyes. Submissions ranged from vivid downtown scenes and quiet lakeside sunsets to movement images and vibrant spring blooms. Entries had been accepted in 4 age classes: 7–9, 10–12, 13–15, and 16–18.

Winners have been awarded thrilling prizes, together with a model new digital digicam, money awards, and the chance to have their work featured in a month-long exhibition on the QAC Cultural Hub all through August 2025. The exhibition highlights the exceptional creativity and ability of youth from throughout the area.

“We were blown away by the talent and passion these students brought to their photography,” says Janet Jarrell, Executive Director of the Quinte Arts Council. “This exhibition is a celebration of young artists and a testament to the beauty and diversity of our community. We invite everyone to come and see the Bay of Quinte through their eyes.”

The public is warmly invited to go to the exhibition on the QAC Cultural Hub (36 Bridge St. E, Belleville) throughout common gallery hours this August. Come have fun the imaginative and prescient and creativity of our area’s subsequent era of artists.
