284 Florida State Pupil-Athletes Honored On 2025 ACC Academic Honor Roll

TALLAHASSEE – National Golfer of the Year Mirabel Ting and National Baseball Player of the Year Alex Lodise are amongst 284 Florida State student-athletes named to the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll.

The Seminoles’ swimming and diving group earned 60 whole honorees, whereas the observe and area and cross nation applications earned 49 honorees. The baseball and soccer groups earned 31 accolades every. Florida State’s soccer (21), softball (20), and seashore volleyball (18) groups earned 18 or extra honored members on the ACC’s most prestigious educational checklist, which continues to set data with every passing yr.

The ACC acknowledged a league file 7,945 student-athletes for classroom excellence throughout the latest educational yr. Our student athletes on the ACC Honor Roll represent the best of an outstanding group that has collectively performed with distinction in the classroom while setting records for overall academic performance. They deserve our admiration and respect.”

Ting was the nation’s high collegiate golfer throughout the 2024-25 season as she gained the ANNIKA Award, was named the winner of the WGCA Division I Ping Player of the Year award and was named the National Golfer of the Year as chosen by Golfweek.  She was named the ACC Golfer of the Year in 2025 and earned First-Team All-America honors as chosen by the WGCA and Golfweek in 2025.

Lodise, The 2025 Dick Howser Trophy winner because the nation’s high newbie participant, was a consensus All-American in a breakout junior season. He was named the ACC Player of the Year, the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and the NCBWA District 3 Player of the Year.  He was additionally acknowledged on the Southeast All-Region First Team by the ABCA.

Six Seminole student-athletes – Jahni Kerr (softball), Hallie Wacaser (softball), Kayleigh Clark (girls’s swimming), Jenny Halden (girls’s swimming), David Quirie (males’s swimming), and Samantha Vear (girls’s diving) – had been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the fifth time of their careers.  A complete of 25 Seminoles had been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time of their careers.

“To have 49 members of our program named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll is a great testament to the hard work and dedication our kids have shown not only on the track but in the classroom,” stated Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Matt Kane. “We have a large group and when more than half your team is on the ACC All-Academic team, that tells me they have bought into the challenge of high performance in every aspect of college life.  I definitely want to give a big thank you to Cheyenne (Noli), Leah (Harris) and Miguel (Negron) and the entire academic staff for all of their continued support and dedication to the athletes’ success.”
