Burlington Fire Department lifts open-air burning ban on Aug. 21

Burlington, Ont.—Aug. 21, 2025— Effective instantly, the Burlington Fire Department has lifted the open-air burning ban, issued on Aug. 12, 2025.

Residents who dwell in rural designated burning areas, with legitimate open-air burning permits, can resume open-air burning. Those with permits are reminded to observe the bylaw and situations of their allow. Permit holders are suggested to make use of excessive warning.
