Patrons Flock To ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’ Film As Filming Begins

EXCLUSIVE: Paris-based SND has unveiled a slew of pre-sales on Alexandre Castagnetti’s modern, French-language reimagining of nineteenth century traditional The Phantom of the Opera and the beginning of principal images over the summer season.

The movie manufacturing, distribution and gross sales arm of french business free-to-air broadcaster M6, which is co-producing, promoting, and distributing the movie in France, launched gross sales on the bold venture on the Berlinale’s EFM in February.

Castagnetti (Stand by Love, Tamara, School Society) is directing from a screenplay co-written with Camille Fontaine ( Coco Before Chanel).

He is promising a daring modern reimagining of Gaston Leroux’s traditional novel with Twilight vibes, gathering Deva Cassel (La Bella property, The Leopard); Julien De Saint-Jean (The Count of Monte Cristo, Delicious); Romain Duris (The Animal Kingdom, The Three Musketeers, Eiffel) within the forged as properly acclaimed ballet stars Guillaume Diop and Dorothée Gilbert.

Behind the digicam is acclaimed DOP Nicolas Bolduc, recognized for his award-winning work on The Count of Montecristo and The three Musketeers.

Renowned Marion Motin, celebrated for her work with artists Madonna, Angele, Dua Lipa and her modern choreography in Climax and The Substance, designs the movie’s dances and ballets. The rating consists by Dan Levy, acclaimed for his music for Raw and I misplaced my physique.

The Phantom of the opera is produced by Segolène Dupont, Remi Jimenez and Thierry Desmichelle for SND, Boris Mendza, Gaël Cabouat, and David Atrakchi for FullDawa.

Paris and L.A.-based manufacturing firm FullDawa (Riddle of Fire, Uncorked), which has beforehand produced fiction movies and documentaries set towards the backdrop of the Opéra Garnier such because the 2020 Arte non-fiction work Building The Paris Opera.

The film is about for a September 23, 2026 launch in France.
