Visaya Gears As much as Compete in ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla.–University of Hawai’i males’s tennis participant Azuma Visaya opens his singles season in the principle draw of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. As the very best ranked participant from the Big West at No. 65, Visaya begins the All-American tourney within the Main Draw on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025.

Visaya began his UH profession final fall with a bang. He performed effectively within the Fall occasions, posting a 9-4 singles report which included wins over Washington’s 108^th-ranked Cesar Bouchelaghem (7-6 (6), 6-4) and Pepperdine’s No. 6 seed within the ITA Regional, Maxi Homberg (7-6 (4), 6-3). Visaya superior to the Round of 16 on the iTA Southwest Regionals and with doubles accomplice Quinn Snyder fell within the semifinals of the ITA Conference Masters Championships to complete a win in need of advancing to the NCAA match. Visaya earned Big West Player of the Week honors 3 times final season, whereas incomes all-Big West second crew accolades in singles and a primary crew nod with doubles Snyder.
