Board Appoints New McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct Constable • Maricopa County, AZ

Scottsdale, AZ (April 9, 2025) – The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has appointed Dan Diaz as the brand new McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct Constable. The McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct covers the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, and Northeast Phoenix space in Supervisorial Districts 2 and three.

“Constables play a pivotal role in our communities and oftentimes put their lives at risk to keep residents safe,” mentioned Chairman Thomas Galvin, District 2. “Although all three candidates would make excellent constables, Mr. Diaz’s exemplary law enforcement experience and award recognitions made him the best choice. I wish Constable Diaz the best of luck in his new role.”

Since May 2018, Constable Diaz has served as a Police Lieutenant for the Superior Police Department, and beforehand spent a 12 months working as a Police Officer for the Casa Grande Police Department. As Constable, he’ll execute, serve, and return processes, warrants, and notices, and attend justice courts when required.

By regulation, the appointee was required to be a Republican like his predecessor David Lester, reside within the McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct, and be a registered Arizona voter. Constable Diaz will fill the place by way of the rest of the time period.
