Women’s Golf Preview: Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational

The Basics
The Drake girls’s golf workforce will hit the course for its penultimate match of the autumn season with the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational hosted by the University of Kansas. The Bulldogs will tee it up from Lawrence Country Club in Lawrence, Kansas, and play 54 holes over two days, Oct. 6-7.

About the Course

The Lawrence Country Club golf course was utterly renovated and re-opened for play in September 2006. The course was nominated by Golf Digest as one of many prime 5 renovated nation membership programs within the Midwest Region. All 18 holes had been redesigned and sculptured to create an impressive and difficult course for all ranges of play. The course is certainly one of solely two nation golf equipment within the state of Kansas with bent grass tee packing containers, fairways, and greens and it hosted the Women’s Big 12 Golf Championship in 2012. The course will play as a Par 71 and measures in at 6.068 yards.
