Girls’s Tennis Fights Laborious in Big West Fall Selection Event Opener

On Friday, Rachor and Gull will face UC San Diego’s Hāna Gamracy/Julia Visaya, whereas Nepomuceno/Galindo will tackle second seeded Jessica MacCallum/ Candela Aparisi of Cal Poly. Times are to be decided.
 
In singles, Gull tossed a close to shutout to win in straight units over UC San Diego’s Kamya Nair, 6-1, 6-0. In the “Battle of the Emma’s, Hawaii’s Emm Forgac upended UCSB’s fifth seeded Emma Tutoveanu by a break in each units, 6-4, 7-5.
