“I was really impressed with Kayleigh Lovell’s effort in the 1,000 and then tapping into her sprinting for the team,” Roth mentioned. “Scarlett McCloud was a big factor in her events, I think she surprised herself with her performance this early in the season. Maddie McAlister had an awesome meet. She came through in a big way in her individual and relay efforts. It was great seeing Mikaela Goelst having fun and hitting speed this early, especially in her 100 breaststroke. Majo Sanchez Castro had a big 200 breaststroke – getting under 2:20 at this phase is a great place to build from. Viv Anderson got to show her range, and had a great 200 backstroke as well as all of her sprint efforts.
