Johnson Farm to reopen Barn Loft Museum at Fall Fun Day

Historic Johnson Farm is internet hosting a Farm Fun Day from 1 to five p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, that includes weavers, wagon rides, excursions of the farm and the grand reopening of the Barn Loft Museum.

Admission is $5 per individual for ages 4 and up. Children 3 and beneath are free. Tickets will be bought on the door; money and card accepted.

Everything throughout the occasion is included with admission. Children could make a lot of crafts with the Heritage Weavers & Fiber Artists and take part in a farm-wide scavenger hunt. All guests can go on a wagon trip and take a self-guided tour of the historic farm home. Every customer can get a bag of popcorn and a drink with their admission.

Champions for Wildlife shall be on website to steer an exercise and discuss their group. At 1:15 p.m., the farm will host the official ribbon reducing for the grand reopening of the Barn Loft Museum, which farm homeowners Vernon and Leander Johnson created within the Seventies. Farm volunteers have been working for months to scrub, polish and reorganize the tons of of artifacts within the loft.

Parking for the occasion shall be accessible throughout the road at Rugby Middle School. Volunteers from the Sheriff’s Office VIP service will assist guests cross the road. Handicapped parking is accessible on the farm. Please go away pets at residence.

Historic Johnson Farm, at 3346 Haywood Road, options 15 acres of forest, fields and streams, 10 historic constructions, animals and picnic tables.
