Worlds Within: Midwestern Microcultures is a images exhibition curated by Peck School of the Arts Advanced Photography Students at present enrolled in ART 452: Contemporary Issues in Photography.

We invite photographers to submit work for Worlds Within: Midwestern Microcultures, an exhibition exploring the wealthy range of communities, traditions, and shared identities that form life within the Midwest. 

A microculture will be outlined as a smaller, distinct cultural group that exists inside a bigger neighborhood. These teams typically kind round shared values, traditions, actions, or methods of life. From grassroots organizations and neighborhood gatherings to household traditions and private rituals, microcultures reveal the deeper layers of belonging and connection that usually go unnoticed.  

We encourage you to contemplate: How do you greatest symbolize your microculture? What objects, symbols, or moments converse to the center of your neighborhood? This exhibition seeks to focus on the distinctive and overlapping microcultures that make the Midwest a area of depth, resilience, and complexity.
