A NSW marriage ceremony photographer has been ordered to pay a complete of $100,000 for allegedly accepting funds from prospects and failing to ship on the product.

Andres & Co proprietor Emily Jayne Andres has been fined $48,250 and ordered to pay $51,760 compensate {couples} who engaged her enterprise for marriage ceremony images between March 2023 and February 2025, following a NSW Fair Trading investigation.

“Couples paid for wedding video and photography services which were not provided,” NSW Fair Trading mentioned in a press release.

“There were additional complaints about poor quality of work.”

In one occasion, a pair paid $5000 for a images and videography bundle however Andres & Co “failed to attend on the wedding day”.

Another couple mentioned they paid $3150 for a video bundle which was not delivered.

Others claimed they have been ghosted once they made makes an attempt to complain to Andres & Co.

NSW Fair Trading Commissioner issued a public warning telling prospects to not cope with Emily J Andres buying and selling as Andres & Co after receiving 68 complaints relating to the partial or non-delivery of products.

“There is only one opportunity to capture a wedding day, and this trader has robbed many couples of that moment,” NSW Fair Trading Commissioner Natasha Mann mentioned.

“While no monetary penalty can change that, I am pleased to see the trader being held to account by the court.”

Mann went on to thank prospects who shared their experiences with NSW Fair Trading throughout the investigation.

Andres has 28 days to attraction the choice.
