“The team won Gold and Silver in each event we entered,” he continued. “We improved upon last year’s performance. Everyone raced twice, with a few women racing three times. Our women did an exceptional job supporting and challenging each other and that, along with aggressive and persistent racing, led to our strong showing and all the medals. I’m especially pleased for our First Years, who placed first and second in the Freshman/Novice 4+ and won the Freshman 8+ by over thirty seconds.”
Frosh/Novice Fours: Penn’s two boats went 1-2 on this division, the ‘A’ boat clocking 14:06.165 and the ‘B’ boat timed in 14:51.001 throughout the Schuylkill’s three-mile course. Overall, 17 boats accomplished racing on this division.
