Males’s Basketball competes in exhibition recreation at Penn State

The Shippensburg University males’s basketball crew traveled to State College on Sunday for an exhibition recreation towards Penn State. The 2 p.m. exhibition was performed on the Bryce Jordan Center.
 
After a sluggish begin, Shippensburg asserted itself late within the first half and out-scored the Nittany Lions within the second half, 48-38. SU shot 18-of-30 (60 %) within the second half, together with 8-of-12 (66 %) from three-point vary, after taking pictures simply 7-of-29 (24 %) within the first half.
 
Jaydon Smith led the Raiders in scoring with 17 factors on 5-of-10 taking pictures – he was 4-of-6 from three-point vary. Smith added a pair of rebounds and a game-high three steals. Smith scored 11 of his 17 factors within the second half, through which he made each of his three-point makes an attempt and was 3-of-3 on the free-throw line.
 
Markus Frank scored 15 factors on 7-of-13 taking pictures and matched David Dorsey with a team-high six rebounds.
 
Michael Dickson delivered 10 of his 14 factors within the second half, ending 5-of-9 from the sector. Dickson had a team-high 4 assists to associate with 4 rebounds.
 
Trey Martin contributed 5 factors and two assists, whereas Timmy Conner added 4 factors. Denzel Figueroa blocked two pictures.
 
In the second half, Parker Smith totaled seven factors and three rebounds in seven minutes of motion; he made each of his three-point makes an attempt. Emonte Hill Jr. handed out three assists. Ben Rill had three factors and three rebounds.
 
Penn State opened the sport on a 19-0 run and obtained a balanced scoring effort from its nine-person lineup en path to an 86-67 victory over the Raiders.
 
Shippensburg’s common season opener is Saturday, Nov. 15 at Frostburg State.
