NAU Football Pronounces 2026 Schedule That includes 9 Big Sky Video games

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 28, 2025) – For the primary time ever, the Northern Arizona soccer staff will play 9 Big Sky video games subsequent season as a part of the official 2026 schedule launch together with the league workplace on Tuesday.
 
The Lumberjacks will open the 2026 season on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at Findlay Toyota Field on the Walkup Skydome towards Eastern Washington. The sport would be the first of six house video games within the Skydome for the Lumberjacks subsequent fall.
 
With the additions of Southern Utah and Utah Tech – and the subtraction of Sacramento State – beginning July 1, 2026, the Big Sky schedule will characteristic 9 convention video games, with one staff enjoying eight video games because of the odd variety of faculties. Following NAU’s season, and Big Sky, opener on Aug. 29, the Lumberjacks will play 4 of their subsequent 5 video games on the highway beginning with a sport in Tucson towards Arizona on Sept. 5. The Lumberjacks will make a quick return house to Flagstaff on Sept. 12 to host UIW for the second consecutive season earlier than touring to Utah Tech on Sept. 19. From there, NAU resumes convention play with consecutive highway video games at Montana State and Idaho State on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 to conclude its stretch of 4-of-5 away from Flagstaff.
 
After that stretch to begin the season, the ‘Jacks will benefit from the pleasant confines of the Walkup Skydome on the again half of the season with 4 of their remaining six video games at house.
 
NAU hosts Montana and Portland State on Oct. 10 and Oct. 17 previous to its bye week in Week 8. 
 
The Grand Canyon Trophy rivalry returns to the Big Sky with NAU taking over Southern Utah on Oct. 31 within the first of two consecutive highway video games. The Lumberjacks’ remaining highway sport is slated for the next week at Cal Poly on Nov. 7. 
 
The Lumberjacks wrap up the common season with back-to-back house video games towards Weber State and Northern Colorado on Nov. 14 and Nov. 21, respectively, with the previous being the annual Red Rock Rivalry sport versus the Wildcats.
 
The 2026 season will mark the second straight yr that NAU will play six common season house video games.
