ACC Declares Field Hockey Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Louisville ahead Rylie Wollerton was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week for discipline hockey, whereas Virginia goalkeeper Nilou Lempers was chosen because the ACC Defensive Player of the Week for matches performed between October 27-November 1.
 
Rylie Wollerton, Senior, Forward, Louisville (Gibsonia, Pennsylvania)

• Scored a purpose within the Cardinals’ 3-2 win over No. 9 Syracuse on Saturday, November 1.
• Recorded her career-best tenth purpose of the season to place Louisville up 2-0.  
• Led an offensive assault resulting in the eventual game-winning purpose.
• Helped the Cardinals safe a berth within the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship.

 
Nilou Lempers, Senior, Goalkeeper, Virginia (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

• Recorded six saves in Virginia’s shutout win towards No. 11 Maryland on Tuesday, October 28.
• Made eight saves within the Cavaliers’ victory over No. 6 Wake Forest on Friday, October 3.
• Notched her eighth shutout of the season towards the Terrapins, together with seven shutouts towards ranked opponents.
• Earned her third ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.

 
Noting ACC Field Hockey

• The 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship will start on Tuesday, November 4, in Louisville, Kentucky.
• For the primary time in ACC historical past, there was a three-way tie for the regular-season championship. North Carolina, Virginia and Wake Forest all earned a share of the regular-season title.
• North Carolina is ranked because the No. 1 group within the nation within the NFHCA Coaches Poll.
• Five ACC groups are ranked within the high 10 of the NFHCA ballot. At least 5 groups from the ACC have been ranked in each ballot this season.
