Be a part of us to commemorate Remembrance Sunday

Derby’s residents are invited to hitch this 12 months’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations and pay their respects on Sunday 9 November 2025.

The metropolis’s annual Remembrance Sunday parade and repair returns this November, bringing collectively youth teams, veteran organisations and folks from all walks of life to honour the sacrifice of members of the armed forces and emergency companies.   

From 10.45am, members of native veteran and youth organisations will parade by way of the town centre onto the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.

Following this, a brief service led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev’d Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby is scheduled for 10.55am, throughout which a two-minute silence can be noticed. The Council House automotive park can be closed to members of the general public from 4pm on Saturday 8 November till 2pm on Sunday 9 November.

Parking is obtainable for these travelling into the town centre in each the Chapel Street and Bold Lane multi-storey automotive parks, that are a brief stroll from the Market Place.

Members of the general public can seize a heat drink and a chunk to eat at Derby Market Hall, with live music from Chloe Rose Fisher beginning as soon as the service has completed.
