Officials advise no swimming, ocean actions at Po‘ipū Beach as a result of shark sighting
POʻIPŪ – Kaua‘i Ocean Safety Bureau officers are advising no swimming or different ocean actions at Po‘ipū Beach as a result of a shark sighting.
OSB officers report {that a} 3- to 4- foot reef shark was sighted at Po‘ipū Beach in the present day, November 5, at roughly 4:50 p.m. No accidents have been reported.
As a security precaution, OSB officers have posted warning indicators and can proceed to observe the realm.
Lifeguards will reassess the realm later this night. If there aren’t any different sightings, the seaside will reopen to ocean actions Thursday, November 6. Updates will likely be offered if extra info turns into obtainable.
