SCSU Men’s Swimming and Diving Falls to Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Worcester, M.A.– Southern Connecticut Men’s Swimming and Diving fell to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) on Friday 152.5-131.5. 

200 Yard Medley Relay: 
A Southern Connecticut relay group of Daniel Lazar, Korbin Conliffe, Mason Durant and Alexander Ahrens positioned third with a time of 1:42.11 

1000 Yard Freestyle: 
Dylan Prescher positioned second at 10:08.13. Samir Souidi completed fourth with a time of 10:43.56. 

200 Yard Freestyle: 
Jack Fry received the even with a time of 1:47.07. Securing second for the Owls was Richie Hall at 1:48.13.

100 Yard Backstroke: 
Durant completed in fourth with a time of 56.85, following him in fifth was Vincent Roney at 56.95.  

100 Yard Breaststroke: 
Nick Fournier positioned third at 1:03.48. Jack Simmons completed fifth at 1:04.88. 

200 Yard Butterfly: 
Lucas Quiroga completed second at 2:00.99, following him was Aiden Kennedy ending in third at 2:04.29. 

50 Yard Freestyle: 
Fry received the occasion at 22.04. Travis Scott positioned fourth at 22.65. 

1 Meter Diving: 
Elliot Speckhard received the occasion with a rating of 238.95. Cole Mullarkey completed third scoring 188.32. 

100 Yard Freestyle: 
Fry positioned third with a time of 48.66. Lazar positioned sixth at 50.06. 

200 Yard Backstroke: 
Kris Janney positioned second at 2:02.39. Roney completed fourth with a time of two:08.12

200 Yard Breaststroke: 
Samuel Whittaker completed in second place at 2:21. Fournier positioned sixth at 2:25.16. 

500 Yard Freestyle: 
Prescher positioned second at 4:58.45, following him in third was Hall at 4:59.39. 

100 Yard Butterfly: 
Durant positioned third with a time of 53.72. Jacob Tanner completed fifth at 55.57. 

3 Meter Diving: 
Mullarkey received the occasion scoring 188.70. 

400 Yard IM: 
Janney received the occasion with a time of 4:27.77, following him in second was Zachary Krantz at 4:39.84. 

200 Yard Freestyle Relay: 
A Southern Connecticut relay group of Kennedy, Scott, Fry and Prescher received the occasion with a time of 1:28.80. Following them one other Southern Connecticut group of Hall, Janney, Quiroga and Nick Zerva ending in 1:35.99. 

The Owls are again in motion on Friday Nov. 21 once they return dwelling to the waters of The Hutchinson Natatorium to tackle The College of Staten Island at 4 PM.
