FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Richmond’s girls’s swimming and diving workforce opened the Patriot Invitational with robust relay performances, highlighted by the Spider 800 free relay. 
 
In the 200 medley relay, the Spiders’ A relay (Hannah Wieczorek, Presley Baber, Kaitlyn Martin and Julia Krichev) positioned sixth in 1:43.90. Richmond’s B relay (Caroline Weldon, Trinity Schulze, Gabbie Primiano and Lena Amare) completed ninth in 1:45.34. 
 
The Spiders added a fourth-place end within the 800 free relay with Natalie Stuart, Erin Budde, Kaitlyn Bauer and Carys Edgar combining for a 7:29.93. Richmond’s B relay of Weldon, Mia Gregory, MaryAgnes Smith and Caitlyn Hughes positioned eighth in 7:37.99.
 
Through Wednesday’s finals, Richmond sits third within the girls’s workforce standings with 176 factors.

The Spiders open day on Nov. 20 with prelims starting at 10 a.m. within the 500 free, 200 IM and 50 free. Finals start at 5 p.m. and can embrace the 200 free relay.
