WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – SCC is proud to current a brand new exhibition showcasing the profound
and contemplative nature images of Iowa-based artist Loretta Verret.
The exhibition will run December 4, 2025 by February 28, 2026. SCC will host
an artist reception on December 4 from 5:00–7:00 PM on the Schuldt & Moore Gallery
on the West Burlington campus.
From the earliest days of her childhood, Verret dreamed of following within the footsteps
of her household’s custom {of professional} images. Growing up immersed in a visually
observant family, she developed an early intuition for capturing fleeting moments
in nature—seeing {a photograph} unfold even earlier than it occurred.
Verret’s work is deeply rooted in her private connection to the pure world. Her
photographic topics embody butterflies, flowers, bushes, and winter landscapes,
every revealing her reverence for creation and seasonal transformation. She notes a
specific affinity for Indian summer time, which she describes as celebrating “the distinctive
great thing about the unknown.”
“Being a photographer has change into a giant a part of my life,” Verret shared. “It offers
me a sense of freedom, an expression of God’s actions and creations.” Her photographs
