Coastal images exhibit showcases Point Reyes captured by City College college students – The Express

Located on the second ground of the Student Services constructing at Sacramento City College, the Russ Solomon Gallery was at all times supposed to be a gallery, says Paul Estabrook, dean of the Technology and Innovation division.

Explaining the actualization of the gallery, Estabrook says, “This show is kind of like a no-brainer to me.”

We had to learn things like … daylight, or when does sunset happen? When does sunrise happen? But also, things like blue hours … and when is the Milky Way going to rise in the sky?” Layton says.

Photography pupil William Graves, whose work was displayed within the exhibition echoed how a lot planning went into making images for the exhibition. “The class does a lot of research beforehand.” He informed me, “They gave us some guidance about the area that we were going to and some websites and links to learn about where we’re going and what the attractions were.”
